Post incident support

If there has been a major violent incident, (or a series of smaller incidents), individual members of staff can become very intimidated. This can lead to long term health problems, often manifesting its self by the staff member becoming ill with a stress related illness.

Many large organisations have good support mechanisms in place, offering counselling and other support.

For many people this support is sufficient to get them through, what can be the most traumatic experience of their lives. There are however a small number of individuals that need some more intense work.

We can de-brief the whole incident with them to discuss what options were available to them in order to have kept themselves safe.

We can offer complete personal safety training in order to help regain lost confidence; this can encompass Threat Assessment & Crisis Rehearsal right through to Understanding the Psychology of Fear and Violence and Physical Self Defence.

We feel that with the right kind of support from people that actually know and have experienced true violence themselves, we can assist a traumatised staff member to regain that lost confidence and return to work knowing that they can cope.
